Due to prolonged periods of extreme heat, Bryan ISD has a Heat Safety Protocol Plan in place for the 2023-2024 school year for ALL of our campuses – specific to athletics events, recess, and student outdoor activities.

Question: Can my child take water bottles to P.E.?
Answer: Students in P.E. will be allowed to take water bottles outside with them.
Question: What will happen at football games?
Answer: The procedures shared apply to practices due to the inherent workload and high number of repetitions. Decisions related to scrimmages, games or performances are not based solely on these parameters and are made in collaboration with event officials taking into consideration built-in rest periods and lower repetition.
